Grand Seiko Evolution 9 ‘Snow Blue Tentagraph’ Hi Beat Automatic Chronograph 43.2mm SLGC001

The design of the Snow Blue Tentagraph takes inspiration from the surroundings of the Shizukuishi Watch Studio, where all Grand Seiko mechanical timepieces are crafted. In midwinter the rocky ridges of Mount Iwate are covered in a blanket of snow, reflecting the blue sky above. Under a box sapphire glass, the three-dimensional dial of this Grand Seiko timepiece features the brand’s recognisable Mount Iwate pattern, depicting the mountaintop view with outstretched snow-covered ridges radiating from its peak. Crafted from high-intensity titanium, this timepiece is 30% lighter than stainless steel, and when paired with a ceramic bezel, provides enhanced scratch resistance. Powered by an in-house built 9SC5 Hi-Beat chronograph calibre – the ten-beat chronograph with the world’s longest power reserve when first introduced in March 2023, named for its “TEN beats per second,” “Three days of power reserve,” “Automatic,” and a “chronoGRAPH,” the 9SC5 is accurate to +5/-3 seconds per day.
