Description
This timepiece is inspired by the twenty four ‘Sekki’ or seasons in Japan; since ancient times these changes in the weather and nature have been incorporated into Japanese daily life. This new Grand Seiko is inspired by the season known as ‘Seimei,’ meaning ‘clear and bright.’ In early April, flowers blooms and new leaves begin to sprout. A warm spring breeze, bright sunshine, cherry blossoms and young leaves set the scene for this light silvery-green dial. This Grand Seiko is aptly named ‘Sakura-Wakaba’ – ‘Sakura’ meaning ‘cherry blossom’ and ‘Wakaba’ meaning ‘young leaf.’ The delicately crafted dial is enclosed in box sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating.
