In Wallace Allan's halo rings, the smaller diamonds sit close enough to the centre stone to catch and reflect light back into it, so it looks larger and brighter than it would alone. This works particularly well on elongated shapes like oval, pear and marquise, where the halo helps balance out the narrower ends.

These shapes all appear as centre stones across the collection, each set in platinum, 18ct yellow gold or 18ct white gold. Most coloured gemstone designs pair the central stone with diamonds, usually as a halo or in the shoulders.
